Two arms connected fixedly to one another are mounted in a bearing body at one end of the frame of a cutter-bar mowing unit so as to be capable of oscillating about an axis lying in the direction of travel. A cutter bar is connected in an articulated manner to these arms via an inner shoe. The cutter bar can therefore execute transverse oscillations, during the work, under the influence of mass forces or by forces transmitted by drive linkages. The drive forces can be derived from the drive for the cutter via rockers and a connecting rod.
