<p>Electromagnetic linear drive having a stator which forms a travel path and is equipped with current conductors and is divided into a plurality of stator elements of the same length, and having a rotor which forms a vehicle and is preferably equipped with permanent magnets which interact with the stator to form a drive, the stator being divided into a number of motor elements (MB1, MB2, ..., MBn, MH1, MH2, MH3, ...) having in each case a minimum number of stator elements and in each case an energy supply unit (EB1, EB2, ..., EBn, EH1, EH2, ...) which can be switched on and off individually, specifically in particular by means of sensor devices which are arranged on the travel path and can be influenced by the vehicle.
