PURPOSE:To realize a private exchange having a low-cost charging function by adding an MODEM device to each of the private exchange and an office-side device and correcting simply software of the office-side device. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone set TEL in a hotel is hooked off and dialing to get an outside line is terminated, an MODEM Modem in a private exchange PBX is connected to this outside line, and a signal consisting of several bits indicating the room number of the hotel is transmitted in, for example, the FSK form. The office side receives the call from the hotel and connects an office-side MODEM Modem to this outside line and performs a prescribed switching operation on a basis of the dial signal. In this case, the signal in the FSK form which is transmitted following the dial signal is received through the MODEM Modem and is stored in a main controller CC. When an office-side charging device transmits charging information for the call to the hotel side simultaneously with the end of the call, contents of the beforehand stored signal in the PSK form are added to this information and are transmitted. The private exchange in the hotel side receives this charging information and inputs it to an office computer OC. |
