Device for very deep freezing of objects

摘要

A device 1 for the very deep freezing of objects with superfluid helium II as a refrigerating agent, in which the storage container 2 for the helium II is surrounded by radiation shields 3, 4 and 5 cooled by waste gas and a vacuum shell 6, is intended to work in autonomous operation for a limited time without vacuum pump. To this end, there is installed additionally on or in the innermost radiation shield 3 an additional tank 3 which surrounds the storage container 2 and is filled with normal liquid helium I.
