TONER IMAGE TRANSFERRING METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent such disorder of a toner image that some of toner in a before-transfer area moves to a transfer material P by giving the transfer material a charge of the sample polarity with the toner before the transfer material reaches the transfer area where the toner image is transferred from an image carrier to the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The discharging wire 12 of a corona discharger 1 is applied with a 4-10KV DC voltage of the same polarity with toner 5 (charged negatively) on the image carrier 4 by a DC power source E2. The discharging current from the corona discharger 11 to the transfer material P is opposite in polarity to the dis- charging current of a corona discharger 1 and small in current, and the transfer material P is brought into contact with the image carrier 4. A corona ion flow from a discharging wire 2 for transfer to the rear surface of the transfer material P is formed while the transfer material P contacts the image carrier 4 previously at the entry side of the transfer material P, and the partial movement of toner 5 at the before-transfer area (b) which is caused by a conventional corona discharge transferring means is prevented to perform stable transfer without image disorder.
