The various parameters for controlling a plate bending machine are set up on digital encoders in a contrl panel. The first plate is bent to this specification and checked for accuracy. If required, modifications are then made to the setting before a paper tape is punch coded. This tape can then be used to cut bending of further plates to the same parameters. Manual tasks such as turning the plate between bends are displayed on a panel at the side of the machine, and spring-back can be allowed for by a separate setting instructing a certain degree of overbend to be given to the plate. |
