Anti-theft device (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising means (2) associated with the vehicle (3) and designed to assume two positions, an inactive position in which they are situated away from the ground when the vehicle is about to move off normally and when it is moving, and an active position in which it bears on the ground and causes the raising of the vehicle so that the tyre of at least one of the driven wheels (5) no longer adheres to the ground sufficiently for the vehicle to be able to move under the action of its engine, lockable means being provided to displace the means (2) from the inactive position to the active position, and vice versa, and to maintain them in the chosen position. <IMAGE> |
