PURPOSE:To always know a correct direction of a course of a ship by deriving an error between a cource derived in the previous time and an actually moved bearing by a bearing error operating means, deriving a bearing for executing its correction, and also deriving and displaying a course error by a course error operating means. CONSTITUTION:A course D(n-1) is derived by setting a destination WP, and a ship is advanced by aligning its course with said course. At the stage in which the ship has advanced actually to a point B from a point A, an error eH between the course D(n-1) and a bearing in which the ship has advanced actually to the point B from the point A is derived by a bearing error operating means. A bearing H' is derived by applying this bearing error eH to the present bearing H by an operating part 20, and also from a difference between its bearing H' and a course D(n) derived this time, a course error dD is derived by a course error operating means 21 and displayed. By repeatng its action and displaying dD whenever the ship sails by a prescribed distance, a correct direction of a course of a ship is always detected. |
