PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which permits easy control of grain size, contains less fine particles to be formed, has a uniform grain size and has good fluidity, developability and wear resistance by suspending and polymerizing a specific polymerizable mixture in a dispersion medium in which two dispersants having reciprocal properties coexist. CONSTITUTION:A polymerizable monomer such as styrene and a polymerizable mixture composed of a cationic monomer, hardly water soluble org. amine or a cationic material consisting of any among cationic polymers in particular are stirred by an ordinary stirrer, homomixer, homogeneizer, etc. in the presence of a dispersant system mixed with an anionic inorg. dispersant and a cationic inorg. dispersant at a 60:40-90:10 ratio and is suspended into the dispersion medium such as water or the like, by which the mixture is polymerized in the presence of a polymn. initiator. The polymn. is accomplished at the suitable temp. determined by the combination of the initiator and the polymerizable monomer in the presence of the initiator. The toner for developing an electrostatic charge image provided with developability, fluidity, wear resistance and further blocking resistance and fixability is thus produced at a narrow grain size distribution. |
