PURPOSE:To surely and automatically shift polyurethane fibers from a full tube to a paper tube, by forming the yarn contact portion of a yarn position restricting plate with oblique faces extending in different directions at a prescribed angle to each other. CONSTITUTION:A bobbin shaft 9(2) is accelerated by a signal indicating that a package 5 has reached a predetermined quantity of winding. When the bobbin shaft 9(2) has reached a set rotational frequency, a rotary drum 11 automatically starts turning counterclockwise. At the same time, a yarn position restricting plate 12 acts to disengage a moving yarn Y of polyurethane fibers from a traverser 7 and keep the yarn in the location of the intersection 12(b) of oblique faces 12(a) which are formed on the yarn contact portion of the restricting plate and have an obliqueness angle of 20 deg. or more and an opening width larger than the width of the traverser. At that time, the moving yarn Y is being wound in a fixed position on a normal from an intersection 12(c) on a package 5. When the rotary drum 11 has turned further, the moving yarn Y and a paper tube 10 come into contact with each other so that the yarn enters into a blade cutting portion provided on the paper tube and is cut off due to the friction, and the but-off end of the yarn is held on the blade cutting portion. As a result, the yarn Y is wound on the paper tube 10. |
