PURPOSE:To prevent the bottom one of piled-up ceramic stocks from being broken, by providing a transfer pallette inserting device for inserting a transfer pallette between the upstream conveying path of a conveyor and the pile of the ceramic stocks. CONSTITUTION:Piled-up ceramic stocks 1 which have been transferred are pressed by pressing plates 18, 18 from both sides thereof to be chucked, and is then elevated together with a frame member 9 by elevating cylinders 10, 10, 10, 10. Then, a movable block 13 is pulled by an advancing cylinder 11 which is retracted, while a transfer pallette 5' disposed in the lower end section of a cassette 6 is shifted onto rails 14b, 14b by way of rails 14a, 14a by means of a locking part 13a and is then shifted onto a conveying means 3 orthogonal to the rails 14b, 14b in association with the lowering of the elevating cylinders 10. At this time, the raised wall side sections of the rails 14b, 14b descend to a position below the path surface of the conveying means 3. Thereafter, the pressing plates 18, 18 release the chucking of the piled-up ceramic stocks 1 in association with the retraction of both pressing cylinders 16, 16, and the transfer pallette 5' is inserted between the piled-up ceramic stocks 1 and the conveying means 3. |
