PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of recovery of coal, by adding oil as a binder into water-and-coal slurry conveyed through a pipe line, and then by stirring and mixing the thus oil containing slurry to obtain granulated coal, so that the additive amount of oil upon recovery of the coal is made extremely small. CONSTITUTION:Coal 1 is pulverized in a pulverizer 2 into a predetermined gain size, and is fed into a coal heat-treating device 3 for subjecting the coal to heat- treatment under an inert atmosphere. The coal is then fed into a slurry-making tank 4 in which the coal is added with water 5 separately fed so that coal-and- water slurry whose concentration is adjusted is obtained. Thereafter, this coal- and-water slurry is fed through a pipe line 6 into an underwater granulating machine 7. Emulsion 8, for example, as a binder, separately fed and composed of oil and water is also added into the coal-and-water slurry, and the slurry is stirred and mixed to obtain granulated coal 9. The coal 9, after being discharged from the granulating machine 7 together with discharged water 10, is separated from the discharged water by a water separator 11, and is recovered. |
