PURPOSE:To coat a lubricant on the end face of an object to be heated easily without using a conveyor of complicated structure by providing a slanted part in a supporting device that supports the object to be heated. CONSTITUTION:The object to be heated 1 is transported under pressure by a pinch roller into a preheating coil 14, and after raising temperature, sent to a supporting device 15. The supporting device 15 consists of two parallel rails installed linearly between the preheating coil 14 and a heating coil 5. The device is bent in a chevron shape in the middle, and a lubricant supply port 22 is provided nearly right above it. The object to be heated 1 that passed the summit of the chevronlike bend and heated zone before passing the summit are adjoining to each other and end faces are exposed upward, and the lubricant 9 from the lubricant supply port 22 is coated not only to said faces but also to end faces. The object to be heated 1 is warm-forged by a forging press after heated by the heating coil 5. |
