PURPOSE:To execute an on-line grinding without making it necessary to detach and attach a horn roll by fitting a cylindrical grinding body to the outside of a mandrel, making it contact by pressing to the horn roll, and rotating the mandrel and the horn roll. CONSTITUTION:A segment 18 of a mandrel 10 is reduced, a diameter of the mandrel 10 is shortened, a cylindrical grinding body 20 is placed on a coil truck 22, the truck 22 is raised and the grinding body 20 is fitted to the outside of the mandrel 10, and the segment 18 is expanded and the mandrel 10 and the grinding body 20 are made to adhere tightly. Subsequently, a horn roll 6 is made to contact to the grinding body 20, the mandrel 10 and the horn roll 6 are rotated, respectively, by driving motors 24, 26, and the surface of the horn roll 6 is ground. |
