<p>The invention relates to a control system for an item checking stand, having an onloading point and at least two packaging stations. Respective tracks extend past a checking station from the onloading point to the packaging stations and a first conveyor belt extends from the onloading point toward the checking station for feeding a succession of items to he checked to the checking station. A second conveyor belt extends from a position that is adjacent the checking station and to a first packaging station and a third conveyor belt extends from the position to a second packaging station. Respective motors are provided for driving the belts and switches are provided for selectively engaging the motors whereby the first belt may be driven concurrently with the second belt and the first belt may be driven concurrently with the third belt, Second switches are also provided for selectively engaging the motors to drive the second and third belts independently of the first belt. A diverter bar, having a magnet mounted on one end thereof, is movable between the ends of said second and third belts to selectively actuate a magnetically actuable switch, mounted adjacent the position, for selectively controlling the operation of the second and third belts.</p> |
