PREFORM FOR USE IN BLOW MOLDING PLASTIC BOTTLES A preform for forming by a conventional blow molding process a plastic bottle for packaging carbonated beverages and the like wherein the preform is made mate rially shorter than prior art preforms with a double wall thickness configuration wherein the body portion of a resultant bottle may be thinner than before possible while at the same time it is of sufficient thickness to resist internal pressures.
