PURPOSE:To bore with high accuracy by driving each boring head over cross slide to perform positioning for boring then carrying a work to the following hole group and correcting each boring head position on the basis of the difference between the measured carrying amount and the target level. CONSTITUTION:A work W is set on a stock vice table 2 and the boring heads 6a-6c on the cross slides 4a-4c will perform boring independently on the basis of the coorinate of boring position stored in a memory 22. Upon finish of boring, vices 3a, 3b are loosened to carry the work W in accordance to the target level by means of carrying systems 8, 8' respectively in front and rear of a photo-switch 10, but since the inertia is excessive or insufficient, the carrying amount is measured by meters 9 or 9' to obtain the difference against the target level in the control section to correct the original point of boring coordinate of each boring head 6a-6c and to fasten the vice again to execute boring. In such a manner, boring of long form steel in entire region can be performed automatically with high accuracy irrespective of the size of material. |
