PURPOSE:To enable exchange through MC type ATC, by providing first and second tool exchangers between a cutter table and magazine while travelling an exchange carrier between them to exchange the tapered shank tool. CONSTITUTION:Upon specification of the number of rotary tool to be used for next working, it is confirmed that an empty exchange carrier 9 is positioned at the exchange position B to rotate the magazine 6 thus to index specific tool to the position E. The gripper arm 13 in first tool exchanger 11 will extend to grip the index tool E by means of the gripper 12 then further extend to position B and mount on an empty pot 10 of carrier 9. Thereafter, the arm 13 will contract and the carrier 9 will wait to move at the position A. Upon completion of turning, the cutter table 5 will reach to the position D to drive the twin arm 16 in second exchanger 15 thus to exchange new and old tools. With such arrangement, exchange through MC type ATC is achieved. |
