PURPOSE:To exclude difficulty of maintenance by providing the whole expansion/contraction driving device of the captioned device, which perform accumulation and delivery of strips, on the exterior of a rotary body so as to realize expansion/contraction of the radius of a rotary drum in rotation from outside. CONSTITUTION:A rack rod 8 fitted with about one or two support rollers 1 is provided, so as to be radially movable, on a support roller expansion/contraction device for a spiral louver. The rack 8a of the rack rod 8 is engaged with a pinion gear 9, which is engaged with the inner cog 11a of a ring gear 11 provided concentrically with a rotary drum. A radial position of a support roller 1 is made adjustable through putting this ring gear 11 relatively in rotation or reverse rotation with respect to the rotary drum. On the exterior of the rotary drum, an expansion/contraction gear 12, to expand or contract the radius of the rotary drum by intermittently increasing or reducing the speed of rotation of the ring gear 11, with respect to the rotary drum, is engaged with an outer cog 11b. |
