<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a kickback phenomenon from occurring in time of acceleration or deceleration, by controlling the damping force adjustment of a damping force variable type buffer, installed in position between a car body and a steering system, according to a state of car driving. CONSTITUTION:In a damping force variable type buffer, its damping force adjustment takes place via a valve mechanism utilizing rotation in a motor 34 which has sliders 41 and 42 being solidly rotated with its rotor, and when these sliders 41 and 42 are situated in a full-line position, damping force is set to being large (hard) and when the case is reverse, the motor operates the said valve mechanism so as to make the damping force small (soft). Each of select switches 46 and 49 in a driving circuit of the motor 34 is selected to the soft or hard side by means of the output of a sensor 52 detecting engine load and a sensor 53 detecting brake load via a control box 39, through which they are so designed as to give the buffer the damping force corresponding to a state of car driving.</p> |
