An open flame gas burner has a body portion bringing the gas to a perforated tip. The top screws onto the body and clamps a bottom screen between it and the body extending in a plane at right angles thereto. The bottom screen is circular and two interfitted spaced inner and outer cup-shaped screen members over the tip are supported by the lower screen whose periphery is turned over to engage extending peripheral edges of the cup-shaped screens.
