A mortar, in particular a lightweight mortar, with a breech plate (10), a projector tube (1), and a trigger device (11, 111), by means of which a grenade (2) situated in the projector tube (1), optionally formed as a transporter/container, with a percussion cap (23) and a substantially axially movable firing bolt (22), may be held in position in the tube (1) in the region of its rear end and released substantially simultaneously with the start of ignition of the grenade propellant charge, characterized in that the grenade (2) in the projector tube (1), preferably formed as a one-way transporter/container, has on the end having the percussion cap (23) an extension (20), which preferably projects into a recess (13) in the breech plate (10) of the projector tube (1) and which has a cavity (205), with - in the non-firing position - an aperture (201) penetrated by a release pin (11), which penetrates a correspondingly positioned aperture (101) in the breech plate (10), is disposed and movable at a preferably perpendicular angle with respect to the axis of the projector tube (1), and holds the grenade (2) in place, a stressed, substantially axially movable firing perpendicular (22) with a stressing element, in particular a spring (210) optionally abutting the base of the recess (13), being disposed in the cavity (205) of the extension (20) and also being fixed in a position at a distance from the percussion cap (23) by the said release pin (11) which projects from its preferably continuous aperture (221), an the breech plate (10) optionally has a positive locking element, preferably a recess (14) connectable so as to cooperate with a correspondingly formed positively locking counter-element on the holding and of a handle (30) of a spade (3) or with a spade handle end (31) itself.</p> |
