The metal coat hanger (1) has a normal shoulder support (2), but the end of one side is extended into a vertical bar (3) which passes through the sleeve of the garment. At the end of the rod a bar (7) is pivoted on a pin (8) and held horizontal by a padlock (11) which passes through holes (9,10) in the rod and bar. The garment sleeve cannot be drawn over the bar until the padlock is removed and the bar pivotted in line with the rod. The hanger is supported on a horizontal fixed rail (6) by a closed eyelet (5).
