PURPOSE:To prevent an air trap from occurring, by dividing the inside of a tank into at least two chambers with a sidelong partition plate, while interconnecting a topmost part of the projection part of a tank upper surface to a chamber having a suction air port, in case of a fuel tank available for a motorcycle or the like. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank 8 for a motorcycle is made up into an uneven form in its top surface in a range not to be hit to an engine 2, a rear form 10, etc., in order to utilize a surplus space around these parts to the maximum extent. Among convex parts 16 in this top surface of the tank 8, the highest convex part 16a is provided with a fuel injection port 17 and an air-bleeder port 18. In addition, inside the tank 8, a partition plate 19 dividing the tank inside into two upper and lower chambers 20a and 20b is installed in a way of being tilted at an up-grade facing the injection port 7. In this partition plate 19, further an interconnecting passage 21 rising toward the highest part 16b of each convex part 16 is solidly installed and, after fuel is filled up inside the upper chamber 20a as preventing an air trap from occurring in time of fuel injection, fuel injection into the lower chamber 20b is carried out. |
