PURPOSE:To turn off a thyristor for recharging a battery reliably, by temporarily consuming the output from a wind power generator through a resistor and temporarily bringing the recharging current to zero when turning off said thyristor. CONSTITUTION:When a three-phase A.C. generator 1 is driven by a wind power engine 2 to produce power for recharging a battery 6 through thyristors 3-5 in a three-phase fullwave rectifier and another thyristor 15, each gate signal for thyristors 3-5 and 15 is turned off while the gate signal for the thyristors 8-10 is turned on to switch recharging of the batteries 6, 7. The output of generator 1 is consumed completely in single period of generator 1 to bring the recharging current of batteries 6, 7 to zero temporarily. Thereafter, the gate signal for the thyristors 3-5, 16 are turned on while the gate signals for the thyristors 8-10 are turned off to recharge the battery 7. |
