PURPOSE:To improve fuel efficiency and improve acceleration performance by allowing the captioned apparatus to be equipped with main and sub fuel injection valves and allowing the sub fuel injection valve having the superior fuel atomization performance to carry-out fuel injection for acceleration and increasing fuel, when acceleration is demanded. CONSTITUTION:Each main fuel injection valve 11 is installed into the branched passage for each cylinder of an intake manifold 14, and a sub fuel injection valve 12 is installed into the joining passage of the intake manifold 14, and these injection valves 11 and 12 are controlled by a control circuit 13 on the basis of the detection signals of the sensors 20-23 for detecting water temp., intake temp., throttle valve opening degree, and an intake pressure. Therefore, the main fuel injection valve 11 is opened according to the necessary fuel amount calculated according to the engine operation state. When it is judged that the engine is in acceleration state, the sub fuel injection valve 12 is opened according to the fuel amount in acceleration state which is calculated independently from the above-described fuel amount, and acceleration and increasing fuel are performed. |
