The insulation product comprises a layer of thermally and/or acoustically insulating material (e.g. glass wool, rock wool, plastic fibres or foam) with a covering sheet (e.g. paper or plastic) which extends laterally beyond at least one longitudinal edge of the material. The projecting sheet portion has at least one side wholly or partly coated with adhesive, preferably covered by a removable protection (siliconised paper). The adhesive may be applied in a regular pattern, or in a pattern of strong alternating with laser adhesive power, and is pref. acrylate-based.
