<p>This is an apparatus for measuring the angular acceleration of rotary shafts, known as an angular accelerometer (Figs 1, 2, 5, ref. 10), which, on stationary coils 68, generates a signal 104 (Fig. 4B) which is directly usable, proportional to the instantaneous acceleration rate of a rotary element 40. Errors arising from eccentricity, lateral oscillation and lack of homogeneity of the rotary element are reduced by a symmetrical generation 66 of flow (Fig. 3) in concatenation with the rotary element, and a symmetrical detection of the flow produced by the circulation of currents in the element.</p> |
