<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the writing time of an ROM (read-only memory) by writing simultaneously the data on the ROM for each word forming a memory in order to save an ROM writing paper tape as well as to eliminate the use of an ROM writing paper tape for parity bit. CONSTITUTION:A memory constitution is assumed by a program, and an SOM of (1) excepting the parity bit is assumed by the write data (h) respectively. A paper tape is produced for ROM writing of (1) corresponding to said SOM. The paper tape (1) is set and read as a paper tape 10 of a paper tape reader 20. This read data is latched by a latch register 31 of an ROM writing device. In this case, eight bits 2<0>-2<7> are latched. A parity bit is produced by an 8-bit odd parity generator 50 and latched by a latch register 32. For the outputs of registers 31 and 32, bits 2<0>-2<3>, 2<4>-2<7> and PTY are written at a time to ROM40, 41 and 42 respectively by the writing indication signals and addresses.</p> |
