PURPOSE:To edit documents in various editing formats through simple operation by designating various data areas by cursor movement and then setting corresponding editing formats immediately. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 2 and a pointing device 4 are used to define various areas and their attributes. The cursor moves, character to character, in a document area 9 to enter an input state of KANA(Japanese character)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion, and editing commands for document movement, copying, deletion, insertion, etc., are executed. Data input, graphic drawing, correction, etc., regarding a circle, bar, and band graphs, etc., are possible in a graph area 10, and the cursor moves, cell to cell, in a list area 11 to allow list calculations and editing on a list. An image can be worked in an image area 13, and graphic editing based upon a graph such as a circle, line, and quadrangle is performed in a vector-represented graph area 14. |
