PURPOSE:To measure the antigen (antibody) in a sample with high accuracy by bringing a carrier immobilized with the antigen (antibody) to be measured and particles contg. a magnetic material immobilized with an antibody (antigen) into contact with a measuring sample then separating the particles contg. the magnetic material bound with the immobilized carrier. CONSTITUTION:An immobilized body 7 formed by fixing, for example, an antigen (including hapten) of a measuring sample to a polyacrylamide film, etc. and adhering said film to a base such as a polyester film is prepd. On the other hand, particles 8 formed by immobilizing an antibody to gelatin particles, etc. dispersed and incorporated with fine magnetic particles are prepd. The sample liquid to be measured, the body 7 and the particles 8 are brought into reaction and thereafter the body 7 bound with the particles 8 is separated. The magnetism by the particles 8 bound to the body 7 are excited by a coil 2 which is excited by the current from a DC power source 4 by using a magnetic head 1. The current detected by a detecting coil 3 is passed through an amplifier 5 and is displayed on a counter 6. The magnetism of the particles 8 failing to be bound to the body 7 is otherwise measured and the antigen in the sample is measured with good accuracy. The particles 8 decrease with an increase in the antigen in in the sample and therefore the particles are compared with the calibration curve obtd. from a known sample and the exact value is determined. |
