<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of S/N under high-temp. and high-humidity conditions by incorporating a vinyl copolymer, olefinic synthetic rubber and specific resin into the magnetic layer of a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer, diolefin or olefinic synthetic rubber and a phenoxy resin or linear polyhydroxy ether ester resin are used as a binder for a magnetic material and further polyisocyanate is used in combination as a hardener. The vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer has 250-1,000, more preferably 350-700 average degree of polymn. The mixing ratio of the binder with the magnetic material is 15-60wt% the vinyl chloride/ vinyl acetate copolymer, 20-65wt% diolefin or olefinic synthetic rubber and 5-40wt% linear polyhydroxy ether ester resin.</p> |
