<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate rescattering of particulate in exhaust gas, to improve dust collecting performance of collecting filter, and to enable reuse of the filter by dispersing uniformly the portion of catalyst having specified amt. of supported catalytic metal on the base material of a filter. CONSTITUTION:Catalyst powder such as Pt, Pd, etc. is mixed with activated alumina powder in 1:2-1:6 proportion. A collecting filter for particulate in exhaust gas having almost uniformly dispersed catalyst component is formed by coating the slurry of the above-described mixture on a base material of the filter. Since catalyst component is dispersed uniformly in activated alumina on this filter, there is no fear for increasing unnecessary oxidizing action. The filter is useful repeatedly by regenerating during operation.</p> |
