PURPOSE:To prevent flowing out of working fluid into a pressure vessel provided in a circulation line of working fluid for a mechanical seal by providing a separating means for the working fluid to the midway of a pressure equalizing line communicating a gaseous phase section of a pressure equalizing tank provided to said line with the inside of the pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure equalizing device 28 for equalizing the pressure of working fluid for a mechanical seal 21 used for a pressure vessel 22 to the pressure in the vessel 22, the gaseous phase section of a pressure equalizing tank 29 provided to the midway of a circulation line 24 of the working fluid is communicated to the vessel 22 by a pressure equalizing line 30, and a cushion tank 31 for separating the working fluid and a pot 32 are provided to the midway of the line 32 and to the end of the vessel 22. When the pressure in the vessel 2 is changed from high pressure to low pressure and the air dissolved in the working fluid in the tank 29 is liberated to form foams and flows out into the line 30, the working fluid is separated from foams completely in the tank 31 and the pot 32. Thus, flowing out of the working fluid for the mechanical seal into the pressure vessel is prevented. |
