The body (1) of the anchor bolt is in the form of a sleeve with a partially threaded bore (1d). The bush has two slots (1e,f) almost meeting at a point (2a). The section bounded by the two slots comprises a wedge anchored to the body by the point (2a). The wedge also has an inward projecting stop (2b) which rests against the braking drift used to rupture the wedge (2). The latter moves vertically down to anchor the sleeve in the hole.
