REGENERATION OF CATALYST USED FOR OXIDATION OF CARBON MONOXIDE

PURPOSE:To regenerate the catalyst in short time effectively by regulating the proportion of the volume of circulation system for regenerating the catalyst by passing hot air to the volume of the catalyst to a specified proportion and by constructing the circulation system to a structure capable of causing turbulent flow on the surface of the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Deteriorated catalyst which has been used for oxidation of gas produced in the production of sintered ore and containing CO in low concn. is transferred in a circulation system through which hot air is passed. The proportion of the inside volume of the system to the volume (apparent volume) of the catalyst is regulated to <=90:1. Additionally, the system is constructed to have a structure capable of causing turbulent flow on the surface of the catalyst. By this constitution, the regeneration of the catalyst is performed effectively in shorter time.
