PURPOSE:To prevent the wetting of ink liquid by raising the mirror smoothness of a metal ink nozzle by covering a thin film of a nitride on at least the tip end face of the metal nozzle, among the tip end face and the inner surface of the port of the metal ink nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet nozzle covered with a titanium nitride thin film 6 of a thickness of 2mum by an ion plating method is formed on the tip end face 5 of an ink nozzle 4 formed by drilling a conical ink guide hole 2 of a diameter of 200mum and an ink jet port 3 of a diameter of 40mum and a length of 40mum in a round ink nozzle plate 1 made of stainless steel, having a thickness of 0.3mm. and a diameter of 10mm.. The ink jet nozzle is free of ink liquid leakage and has good corrosion resistance, good processability and good process accuracy. |
