PURPOSE:To enable to accurately print and read, by a method wherein an index mark is printed on the leading end of a paper when printing on the face side of the paper, and the paper is supplied in the state of being turned by 90 deg. and printing data are printed in the state of being turned by 90 deg. by a mark sensor signal when printing on the back side of the paper, in an information-processing printer. CONSTITUTION:When printing on the face side of a printing paper 15, when the leading end 15b is detected by a photoelectric sensor 12, a printing head 2 prints an index mark 23 from the position spaced by a distance A from the left side of the paper 15, and the mark 23 is checked by reading it by a mark sensor 13. When printing on the back side of the paper 15 printed with data 24, the paper 15 is supplied to the printer in the state of being turned by 90 deg., and after the paper 15 is fed by the distance A from the moment the leading end 15a is detected by a mark sensor 22, reading of the mark 23 is started, whereby the mark 23 can be read in the same positional condition as in printing. Based on the data thus read, the printing data 25 are printed on the back side of the paper 15 in the state of being also turned by 90 deg.. Accordingly, the index mark can be accurately printed and read. |
