The system involves the telephone ringing signal being automatically tapped off (15-18) to a paging device (19-24,11a-14a) in the receiver section (11a-14a) of which the signal is converted to a call-up signal. The paging device (19-24,11a-14a) forms part of the connections (11-14) of a subscriber telephone exchange (5), and comprises conductors (19-22) connected to others (7-10) in the tap-off points (15-18), so that the ringing signals also come automatically to the central unit (23) of the paging device (19-24). The central unit then transmits the signals to the receiver in the paging unit via an aerial (24). The end result is that a subscriber can always have a ringing signal in his connection and at the same time a call-up signal in his receiver, provided he is within the range of the paging unit. |
