<p>A mixture of sharp, hard abrasion resistant particles a green rubbery gum, latex or soln. and pref. a room temp. vulcanisation, system as a paste is used in a solvent capable of penetrating a tyre tread stock. When road conditions are icy the mixture can be applied by brush, blade or pref. by driving through a trough >=1m long and immediately drying the wheels with a heater. The tread pattern may be protected by a thin film to prevent clogging by gum which would lead eventually to a 'bald' tyre pattern.</p> |
