<p>Installation for guiding and replacing lances, used for the desulphurization of ferrous melts in ladles, comprises a turntable on which new and spent lances are suspended. A carriage which moves on a horizontal girder has arms to transfer spent lances to the turntable or new lances from it. A vertical girder which can be revolved around a vertical axis is the guide for two carriages, each with arms to receive a lance. In the top position of these carriages they join a lance to a coupling for a gas supply to the lance. This speeds up the replacement of a lance and holds it rigid during the injection period.</p> |
