The addition relates to the small item of furniture for filing office papers, according to the initial patent. The files rest in the container 1, itself contained in the compartment 7 which is open on only one of its large vertical sides. The dimensions of the container and of the compartment are such that the compartment may easily be tilted on its base edge, on the opening side of the compartment, and remain in a tilted use position, immobilised particularly by a device, the flat spring 2 for example, thus rendering the files accessible. A box 8, housed behind the container 1 and for diverse uses, makes it possible to enlarge the base of the compartment and to counterbalance the tilted container, thus improving the stability of the assembly. During tilting movements, a fixed wall 10 prevents the files from falling flat into the bottom of the container if they are few in number. <IMAGE>
