PURPOSE:To transfer an image with good color separation, by using a transfer sheet which comprises a heat-fusible ink containing layer as a lower layer and a leuco dye containing layer as an upper layer and a receiving sheet which comprises a leuco dye decoloring agent layer as a lower layer and a leuco dye color developer layer as an upper layer. CONSTITUTION:The transfer sheet is obtained by a method wherein a heat- fusible ink composition comprising a pigment such as carbon black dispersed in a heat-fusible substance such as a wax is applied to a base to provide a high- temperature transfer layer, and a low-temperature transfer layer comprising a leuco dye capable of being developed into a color different from that of the high-temperature transfer layer is provided thereon. On the other hand, the receiving sheet is provided by a method wherein a layer comprising a discoloring agent for the leuco dye, such as stearyl alcohol and polyethylene oxide, is provided as a lower layer, and a layer comprising a color developer for the leuco dye, such as a phenolic substance and an organic acid, is provided thereon. A porous filler having an oil absorption of not less than 50ml/100g is preferably incorporated in the receiving layer and/or the low-temperature transfer layer. |
