An interlock appliance having a blocking bolt (2) is used for monitoring the movement of a detonating pellet support (6) by rotating a rotor in the safe projectile from the quiescent position into the armed position, which blocking bolt (2) permanently blocks the rotation of the rotor of the detonating pellet support (6) before its armed position is reached when there is no retardation or when the firing acceleration is too low and, in consequence, when the retardation is too low. This prevents the rotor of the detonating pellet support (6) moving into the armed position and thus being able to trigger premature detonation when it is already in the quiescent position, for example while the projectile is in store or when the firing accelerations are far too low. <IMAGE>
