Device for a central heating apparatus, making it possible to keep the attractive fire in the fireplace whilst drawing the maximum of its energy. The object of the invention is to keep the attractive appearance of a fireplace, and to draw the best thermal yield therefrom. Referring to Figure 1, there can be seen the water cavities 1-3-4-7-10 which pick up the heat, the anti-tar grilles 18-20-21, the smoke box 23, comprising its shutter 24, actuated by the draught regulator 14, the smoke conduit 25 serving to put the combustion chamber 17 into underpressure, the plate 12 for rear closure, the tubes 5-8-6-9 leading the fluid from one water cavity to the other, and the end pieces 2 and 11 for connecting the apparatus. <IMAGE>
