Control device for small hydro-electric power systems

A control device is described for a small hydro-electric power system, especially a flow turbine, for operation in the case of a power station having a synchronous generator which can be changed over between independent operation and network operation. In independent operation, the control device operates using speed regulation. When a changeover is made to network operation, the use of speed as the control variable is dispensed with and the control device operates using water-level or volume-flow control. This is made possible in that the speed of the synchronous generator and of the water turbine is kept constant by the network if the network power is virtually infinitely large in comparison with the turbine power. <IMAGE>
