In order simultaneously to achieve the advantages of a tongue-and-groove connection and those of a dowel connection, a connection for plate-shaped components (10) is proposed, the end faces of the components (10) being provided with longitudinal grooves (12), in the base surface of which bores (22) are made at regular spacings. Tongue strips (14) are provided in order to connect the components (10), which strips extend along their narrow sides in dowel-shaped projections (16) which are arranged at the same spacing as the bores (22) in the base surfaces of the longitudinal grooves (12) and which form, together with the tongue strips (14), dowel springs (14, 16) which can be inserted into the longitudinal grooves (12) with their bores (22). <IMAGE>
