PURPOSE:To decrease considerably the variance in the sectional diameter of a solidifed metal by providing a rotating device which rotates on the surface of a liquid layer in synchronization with the rotation of a cooling liquid layer in a cylindrical drum and solidifying the molten metal ejected between the rotating device and the liquid layer by said device. CONSTITUTION:A cooling liquid layer 9 is formed on the inside of a cylindrical drum 1 by the centrifugal force occuring in the rotation of the drum 1 and a molten metal is ejected in the from of a jet to the layer 9 by an ejecting device 10. A rotating device 16 rotating in synchronization with the rotation of the layer 9 is provided in the drum 1 and the molten metal ejected between the device 16 and the layer 9 is solidified by the device 16. |
