So that a refrigerating container with heat-insulated walls and a heat-insulated floor and also a heat-insulated cover or a heat-insulated door, which container is specially suitable for motor vehicles or boats, by arranging it, for example in the passenger compartment of a commercial vehicle or in the cabin of a boat, as a refrigerating box for foods, beverages or the like, can be designed with simple and cost-effective means such that, in both movable and also stationary use, and in the latter case integrated into the refrigerant circuit of a refrigerator, free from constructional or manufacturing problems even in embodiments with a removable cover or pivoting door, it permits any desired or required design form of the refrigerating container housing and confers considerable facility in mounting, at least the cover or the door and/or the floor, and preferably at least partially the walls, have a cold energy reservoir in the form of a gel-like eutectic cooling brine, which can be contained in a single- or multi-shell receptacle on the container interior space side of its or their heat insulation.
