Novel headbox in papermachines

The novel headbox, invented by me, in papermachines is characterised in particular in that the pulp passes uniformly and without bubbles onto the wire. It has no exit lips and does not operate under pressure. The pulp passes through an orifice at the bottom of the headbox, over a bench with a rounding at its end and onto the wire. The thickness of the paper is regulated and controlled by vacuum. The higher the vacuum, the less pulp runs out and the thinner will the paper be. On the attached sectional drawing, the terms such as orifice, bench and rounding are indicated by reference lines.
